In 2016, SIXT Group Romania started #AlwaysYesToRomania as a premises to highlight the beautiful site of Romania, with its historical places, beautiful landscapes and nice people. But, we needed more, to also contribute to the future development of the society. And in 2017, we created #AlwaysYesToEducation, willing to actively contribute to the educational process of children from disadvantaged families. And we associated with two NGOs "Ana si Copiii” si “SOS Satele Copiilor”, throung our volunteers. In 2017, we also steped into another phase, this time focused on the education of children for a correct assimilation and understanding of the traffic rules. So, we are actively involved in Ora de Educatie Rutiera. An initiative of EDIT and "Impreuna Pas cu Pas, associations, in partnership with the Capital City Hall through PROEDUS, the Bucharest School Inspectorate and the University of Bucharest, with the support of the SIXT Group Romania, “Ora de Educatie Rutiera” promotes the importance of complying with road traffic rules and represents a signal to the consequences of non-compliance, especially in the proximity of schools. Our volunteers actively participate to the classes offering information and training the children to be prepared in traffic and are also involved in the outdoor activities. Ora de Educatie Rutiera means 6 sectors of Bucharest, 25,000 3rd and 4th grade pupils from Bucharest, 700 teachers, 130 schools, 100 students, 10 #AlwaysYesToEducation volunteers and 100 police officers from the Romanian Police. This Spring, Ora de Educatie Rutiera will be extended to Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara, in parallel with the activations in Bucharest. In 2018, #AlwaysYesToEducation means another project, also. Romania is suffering from luck of places where the students can practice. We have Union Motors, one of the biggest workshop from Romania where more than 25 professionals – mechanics, painters and not only, with years of experience are working with passion. And we said, why not hosting this young students, the future of our society, here to use our equipment and learn from the professionals. And we created “Atelierul Union Motors”. 21 students will learn “how is made” the mechanic in our Union Motors workshop. For the best ones we will create here their future working places. So, YES, “Atelierul Union Motors” is a sustainable project we trust and have great expectations in. For SIXT Group Romania #AlwaysYesToEducation is a commitment that our company, through its volunteer employees and other resources, makes to the children and to the world.
